California Super Lotto Plus

The California Lottery SuperLotto Plus game is a favorite because of its big jackpots!

Besides the rich jackpots, your odds of winning are more favorable than they are for either of the two US giant lotteries, namely Powerball and Mega Millions. Statistically, your chances of winning the SuperLotto Plus are about 5 times greater than winning the Powerball jackpot and about 4 times better than hitting a Mega Millions Lottery jackpot.

California SuperLotto Plus jackpots start at $7 million and have reached a record of $193 million. Winning numbers for California lottery are drawn every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:57 PM.

Play SuperLotto Plus Lottery

To play the California SuperLotto Plus, you choose six numbers from two separate pools: five numbers from 1 to 47 and one MEGA number from 1 to 27. Players may also choose to have the numbers generated randomly by the computer, which is called Quick Pick.

If you match all six winning numbers, you've hit the jackpot!

The amount of your prize depends on how many numbers you match.

But you don't have to hit the jackpot to win. There are also prizes for matching fewer numbers. The prize you receive depends on how many numbers you match. You're a winner if you match 3, 4, 5 or 6 numbers. The jackpot prize will roll over from its starting point of $7 million on up until someone matches all six numbers.

A lottery pool that jointly purchases a single ticket is treated as one ticket holder.

California SuperLotto Plus jackpots are paid in 26 annual payments, or a player may choose the cash value payment in one lump sum.

If a winner chooses the cash value, it must be claimed within 60 days of the California Lottery payment approval date. The payment option chosen will apply to all claimants in the event of a multiple ownership claim.

If the cash option is claimed, it can be received as an amount equal to the net proceeds of the sale of bonds, purchased to fund the 26 annual payments for that prize. This will be a single lump sum payment estimated at 45% to 55% of the jackpot amount.

If you choose the annual payments option, you'll receive the SuperLotto Plus jackpot in 26 graduated annual payments.

For example, if the announced California Lottery jackpot is $7 million and you choose the annual payment option, you will receive $175,000 as the first payment (2.5% of jackpot amount). These payments would gradually increase each year until the final payment of $357,000.
