Powerball:
Pearlie May Smith, from New Jersey, and her 7 adult children have come forward as the sole winners of the $429.6 million Powerball jackpot! Mrs. Smith, said she felt a divine intervention for the winning lottery numbers which compelled her to purchase 2 tickets for $6. They were purchased at 7-Eleven, 750 Chambers Street from Trenton in Mercer County. The Powerball numbers were: 5, 25, 26, 44 and 66, alongside Powerball number 9, which she says came to her in a dream.
Pearlie, works as a pastor in a church in Trenton and now the family plan to donate 10% of their winnings to their church. They opted for the lump-sum, which will make the winnings worth $284 million before taxes, and the retailer will get a financial incentive of $30,000 for selling the ticket. The family have already consulted a life coach and met with other jackpot winners, in order to learn about their experiences. This is the largest prize won in the state of New Jersey, and the 6th largest in the history of Powerball.
