Brandon Robertson, 25 was about to visit some friends on a beautiful Memorial day weekend, when his dad reminded him to fill up the gas tank for his part-time job at UPS. This decision that landed him $1.2 million with the California Lottery!
Robertson stopped off at 7-Eleven located at 1111 E. Kettleman Lane in Lodi- San Joaquin County, alongside the gas, he bought a pair of tickets to scan, previously bought- however none of these were winners. He took a chance, and asked for his usual $3 Quick Win Bingo but they weren't in stock, so for the first time ever, he opted for 2 $2 Set for Life tickets- with which he'd never played before. Fast-forward to him sat in a drive-thru with his dad, who was teasing him about never winning- in the midst of his dad's proclamations he saw the word "LIFE"! Robertson said he started "freaking out", realizing if his usual ticket had been in stock, he wouldn't have won! The most intriguing recollection, is he recalls seeing the number 11:11 everywhere beforehand; on the TV during the news, the day he won on the clock 1:11- a lucky sign he says.
He's claiming a lump-sum of $696,000 and plans to do lots of fun things whilst being smart by investing and renting out properties in order to earn money! 7-Eleven receieved $6,000 as a retailer of a winning ticket.
