A couple from Fresno County have claimed the biggest Fantasy 5 lottery winning ever. The previous record of the game was set nearly 24 years ago when in January 1992, a winner took the $729,505 top prize. Now Thomas Hanna and his wife finally broke the record.
Following the winning the retiree couple immediately headed to California Lottery’s Central Valley District Office on Monday, the 21st of November to hand in their $762,087 winning ticket to the lottery authorities.
To everyone’s surprise, it wasn’t the first time that Thomas Hanna hit it big. Back in 2014 he had claimed $10,000 in a 2nd Chance lottery game.
Thomas intends to carry on playing the lottery despite striking it lucky twice. As luck would have it, he might do it again!
The couple didn’t share much about their future plans. As Thomas mentioned cheerfully, “Invest in houses and lots of whiskey!” Apart from that, the couple intends to pay off their mortgage and car loan. The winning Quick Pick® ticket was bought at the 7-Eleven shop, located at 1170 North Clovis Avenue in Clovis (Fresno County). The winning numbers were: 4-6-16-17 and 25.
