An anonymous donor, gave a very generous tip of a Pennsylvania Lottery ticket worth $1,000 tucked away between many $1 bills. The Fantastic 10s ticket was donated on December 6th, outside Walmart located at Harborcreek Township, 5741 Buffalo Road.

Currently being in the holiday season, this was perfect timing for the Erie County Salvation Army who have been struggling with their 2016 kettle drive, with figures dropping from $102,280 to $79,790 at this time for the year. The drive which runs through from the beginning of November to Christmas Eve provides funding for toy and holiday programs for thousands of low-income households. Speaking in regards to this generosity a business adminstrator for the agency stated: "We are so pleased, especially since we're so far behind, it helps quite a bit" and Major Leslie Walter, officer of the local Salvation army said: "We are very grateful for this generous donation which will help us to serve people and families in need".
