A New Year's resolution has led one woman from Georgia to win a $100,000 lottery prize with the Powerball lottery. Lottery officials state that she purchased the winning ticket back in September 2016 at Mit Food mart, which is located at West Georgia Road. She decided that in 2017 she was not going to let things pile up, and so in the midst of a big clean she discovered the old ticket, alongside a few more winning ticket's from Georgia and South Carolina which brought her total winnings up to $100,030! The woman was very relieved with her discovery, as the tickets could have expired and gone unclaimed had she not followed through with her resolution. She matched all four white ball numbers, as well as the red Powerball number. Mit Food Mart, the lottery retailer will also receive a $1,000 bonus just for selling the winning ticket.
