Mavis Wanczyk, from Massachusetts has received the blessing of a lifetime, worth millions upon millions of different possibilities, opportunities and permeant security. This woman, has just landed the whopping $758.7 million Powerball jackpot that everyone has been talking about in great anticipation. Wanczyk, who is 53 chose a random assortment of her own lottery "birthday" numbers, after purchasing her ticket from Pride Station & Store, which is located at 27 Montgomery Street in Chicopee in hope of landing the great prize. However, it wasn't until she was returning home from work at Mercy Medical Center, when she was joking around with a fire-fighter friend about the fact that one of them may be winners as all the winning numbers drawn were "birthday numbers" that she decided to check her own and realized that all her numbers matched up! The Powerball numbers drawn on Wednesday were: 6, 7, 16, 23, 26 and the Powerball number 4 (a favored Keno number of Mavis'). Her friend made sure that Mavis signed the ticket off immediately, and the very next day wasting no time, she walked into the Massachusetts lottery headquarters to claim her winnings. She has chosen to receive the money as a lump sum, over gradual instalments which means she will be receiving $336 million after paying initial taxes all to herself. After having worked at the Mercy Medical Center for 32 years of her life, Mavis stated that she will not be coming back to her job and will be hiding in her bed until she decides on her plans for the future. One item she won't be purchasing, is a car Mavis says as she has only just finished paying for her current one. The lottery retailer will also receive a $50,000 financial incentive, although the store owner has already says that all of this money will be going to charity through his personal choice.
