Marco Amador, 39, from San Diego County has just won a huge prize of $750,000 with the California Lottery so it’s no surprise that he’s super excited and optimistic following the win! Amador, usually plays draw games such as Powerball and Mega Millions – however his friend recently convinced him to try his hand at scratch-off games, so following his friend’s advice he went into Stater Bros, which is located at 1048 North El Camino Real in Encinitas and purchased a $10 Mystery Crossword Scratchers. Working as the manager of an auto detail shop, he was coincidentally at his work place when he decided to scratch off the ticket he had bought – and came to realize that one of the puzzles on the ticket in fact matched up 10 complete words, which is the exact number he needed to win the top prize the game offers of $750,000! He was so shocked, he made his way to the closest California Lottery Check-A-Ticket machine to verify his win and upon seeing the number of digits coming up on the machine, his face looked so different that even the employee of the store asked him if he was okay. Going back to work was very difficult, as all he could think about was his three-quarters of a million-dollar prize and what he was going to do. “I was a little headachy, but a good headache” he laughed. This story started with a trip to the supermarket, and it could now end with a new house or a luxury trip – who knows, but Amador sure has many more possibilities in his life now and playing scratchers was definitely worth it!
