Terry Southard, from Rolla was simply out to get a meal from Kroger when he decided to buy a $20 Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket on his trip at the store. The ticket was the $5,000,000 Big Money game ticket, and after realizing he’d won some kind of prize – he used the Lottery app on his phone multiple times to really validate the $100,000 win! Southard, then had to call his wife to come and get him because he was experiencing all kinds of shaking and heart tremors from the news. “we’ll go to the mall and buy some new clothes” he said, as well as explaining that they may also get their dogs some little treats too. His wife, Jessica works as a waitress says that together they can pay off their bills, enjoy themselves a little bit and save the rest. The ticket was purchased at Kroger, which is located at 605 W. Fourth St. in Rolla and the store will also be receiving a portion of money from the lottery for selling the winning ticket.
