Saturday, August 4, 2018

An anonymous individual, from San Jose in California has matched up all six lottery numbers to win a $522 Million with Mega Millions after a long, hugely anticipated drawing. This person, who has not yet stepped forward to claim their prize, purchased their ticket from Ernie's Liquors which is located at 2808 S White Rd. In San Jose and the ticket matched the numbers: 1, 2, 4, 19, 29 and Mega Ball number 20 as well as the Megaplier of 3 which totals up to a staggering $543,000,000 prior to taxation and other fees. This jackpot is the 9th largest jackpot in the US ever, and the 3rd largest of all the Mega Millions drawings, as a lump sum this prize will be worth around $320.5 million compared to the full pay-out over a set amount of years. Although we don't have the winner yet, the owner of the liquor store was around to talk about his side of the story. The owner, Kewal Sachdev, 65 explained how he was in the middle of a nap when one of his employees called him to let him know they had been the lucky store to sell the winning ticket, which is amazing as nothing like this has ever happened over the 18 years that he's had ownership and now the 0.5% they receive as commission will be worth $2,600,000 – which is a huge bonus! John Nguyen, 35 from San Jose, a local lottery player in the area says he is a financial advisor and would be more than happy to aid the unknown winner in sorting out his finances. Well, all that's left now is for the individual with the winning ticket to step forward, sign the back of the ticket and claim it at lottery headquarters to secure the money.
