A winner of the Mega Millions draw held on the 5th of August matched all five white Mega Millions ball numbers and won £250,000. Apart from the main prise he also had other matches on the ticket that added up another $600 to his main prise.
A Detroit native, the winner has been a regular lottery player for years. Surprisingly enough, he did not believe in his good fortune. This has not stopped him, however, from filling in the ticket bought from Livernois Food Center in Detroit.
The winner intends to pay his bills with some of the prize money, give some to the family, and save the rest.
