A New Mexico couple has claimed the new Powerball game’s first million! Larry and Cynthia Martinez of Blanco, New Mexico were the happy winners of the nation's first $1 million prize in the new Powerball game launched Sunday.

The Martinez' ticket for the game's Jan. 18 drawing matched the white ball numbers of 6, 29, 34, 44 and 50 to win a second-place prize of $1 million. Previously, the prize for matching five white balls was $200,000.

The Powerball Lottery has now reached a whopping $120 million with a $75.1 million cash value. The next drawing will be held on January 25th , 2012.
