California Lottery:

John Nieblas, a 63-year-old retired auto mechanic, paid $1 for a California Lucky for Life Scratchers ticket and won $650,000!

In other California Lottery news, Daniel Otto was one of two lucky players to win $193,997! Otto’s ticket correctly matched all five numbers in the August 1st, 2013 draw to earn him a split of the $387,994 top prize. The other winner of this split ticket has not come forward as of yet.

Powerball:

There was no jackpot winner in the Saturday, August 03, 2013 Powerball drawing, but 9 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $1,000,000 prize.
