Zatarain, an administrative assistant, originally purchased her lucky ticket – which was the Grand Crossword Scratchers game from Royal Donuts, which is located at 1880 West Carson Street in Torrance. She explained how she first checked her ticket, by using a Check-a-Ticket machine and something told her that she’d won some kind of prize but she still wasn’t certain how much! So, she went on to her next best option which was the California Lottery mobile app which allowed her to scan the ticket, and was greeted with the message “$2 million Prize”, Zatarain couldn’t believe what she was seeing and went home, shaking throughout the journey.

Lerynne West, 51 from Redfield, Iowa has recently come forward to claim her huge prize of $198,100,000 with the Powerball Lottery. But what is most interesting about his story, is the nature of the win – just as he was about to check if he had the 10^th word needed to win the jackpot, he blessed himself and then scratched off the last number to find that indeed, he had been blessed – with the top $2 Million lottery prize. Following this, he was shouting and jumping for joy and couldn’t fathom the reality of the situation he was lucky enough to be in. 

An N. C. man has finally won $1,000,000 Powerball prize after employing the same game strategy and playing the same Powerball numbers for five years in a row. The lottery winner has matched all the white balls of 8, 12, 13, 19, and 27, that granted him $1 million lottery prize. With eight tickets from North Carolina hitting a significant prize in that particular drawing, he was the only $1 million lottery winner.
