A father, 67 from Maryland is ecstatic having found out that he has won the top prize of $50,000 with the Maryland Lottery after almost not realising. The man, who has protected his identity explained how he’s developed a routine, where he travels down Belair Road and buys tickets for games for which top prizes haven’t yet been won – in hope that he will be the one to get that top prize money. This time, he stopped off at Nikki’s Discount Liquors which is located in Baltimore and opted to buy a “Gold” scratch-off ticket, before going on to check it and conclude that it wasn’t worth anything. Yet, he couldn’t have been any more wrong he found out – he was at work, employed as a heavy equipment mechanic when he handed his ticket to his co-worker who enters losing tickets into second-chance drawings.
