Anthony Vottero, a retired veteran from Indianapolis had a very different attitude from many when finding out that he had won $900,000 with the Hoosier Lottery. Bastardo, must have been feeling both stubborn and determined when he decided to go into El Ranchero Liquor which is located at 11998 South 10th Avenue in Hanford- Kings County as he purchased ticket, after ticket when finding the ticket wasn’t a winner, this went on until he was on the fifth ticket and said “Ok, if I don’t win I’m done”, but 5th time lucky he found himself as the $10 Mystery Crossword Scratchers was worth a huge $750,000! He told his girlfriend right away, and the same day they went in to the California Lottery’s Fresno headquarters to claim their winnings...

It was an office pool, a whim purchase of lottery ticket’s which lead to 11 co-workers winning the grand $543,000,000 prize with the Mega Millions Lottery! The group, are from Santa Clara County and work in the financial industry, they have chosen to keep their identities anonymous apart from Roland Reyes, who stepped forward on behalf of the group to claim the money. The group of people in the pool, range from 21 to 60 in age, and say they do not regularly play in a pool; however, this occasion was different as the jackpot rolled so high, they all decided to pitch in $2 a piece and purchase tickets from a small business owner. This was because Reyes believed they would have the best chances from a local ownership store, over a chain brand so he chose Ernie’s Liquors in the end which is located at 2808 South White Road which is in San Jose, Santa Clara County. 

Fred, 67 and Lesley Higgins, 57 a retired couple from Scotland almost threw away their $67 million prize after being told that the ticket wasn’t a winner. Fred, is a regular lottery player and explained the story of how he popped into Scotmid which is located on Laurencekirk High Street and purchased a EuroMillions tickets before proceeding to give it to the man working at the shop to put through the machine, however the machine told them that the ticket wasn’t a winner so he ripped it in half and discarded it. Suddenly, the machine produced a message saying that they would need to contact the operator which is Camelot – so the clerk retrieved it from the bin and handed their ticket back. The ticket was now in two pieces, but the matching numbers could still be seen, which were: 3, 8.26, 33, 45 and Lucky Stars numbers 7 and 10 when he checked on the lottery website...

An anonymous individual, from San Jose in California has matched up all six lottery numbers to win a $522 Million with Mega Millions after a long, hugely anticipated drawing. This person, who has not yet stepped forward to claim their prize, purchased their ticket from Ernie's Liquors which is located at 2808 S White Rd. In San Jose and the ticket matched the numbers: 1, 2, 4, 19, 29 and Mega Ball number 20 as well as the Megaplier of 3 which totals up to a staggering $543,000,000 prior to taxation and other fees. This jackpot is the 9th largest jackpot in the US ever, and the 3rd largest of all the Mega Millions drawings, as a lump sum this prize will be worth around $320.5 million compared to the full pay-out over a set amount of years. 

Scott Williams, the owner of a barbershop in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis was left smiling after finding out he had won a $50,000 lottery prize with the Hoosier Lottery unexpectedly. Williams, told the story of how he was cutting the hair of one client when a customer called him to notify him that his lottery numbers of: 1-1-1-1 had come up in the last drawing, "Everyone knows I play" he explained and also outlined that he had been playing those same numbers for the past year after changing them from 1-4-0-1 which was based on the location of his barbershop. But he still didn't see this success coming, and is very happy with his new choice of numbers! 

Johnny Allen, a retired man from Los Angeles has been a dedicated lottery player all the way since the California Lottery sold their very first lottery ticket back in 1985 and finally he's won a whole $2,000,000 prize. Allen, was at a donut shop called Brand Donuts which is located at 10254 in Rosecrans Avenue in Bellflower when he decided to buy some California Lottery Scratchers tickets – including the Crossword Deluxe Scratchers. However, for some reason he automatically assumed that they weren't winners without checking and went to send his ticket into the 2nd Chance draw – that's when he found out that he was the winner of $2,000,000. In regards to his plans, he said that he has a reunion coming up and now he will be able to turn up in style, with some stylish transportation too – no-one will be expecting it!
