Dennis Banfield, 87, and his wife Shirley, 83 who are from Bristol have become the UK lottery’s oldest winners after finding out that they had bought a lottery ticket worth £18,000,000. It was Shirley Banfield, who opted to buy a ticket from their local newsagent which was a line of Lucky Dip numbers for the Saturday night, and the following morning it was her husband who had come to find that they had won! On that morning, Shirley was reading out the lottery numbers which had been picked from the previous night and said to her husband, “Who’d have those numbers?” and ironically, he had to break it to her that those were the numbers on their ticket. There were so pleased with the good news, with Dennis being filled with all kinds of different emotions when he tried to fathom exactly what this win could mean to his family. 

A group of four friends, who’ve been friends for life as well as being a team in playing the lottery have just become the latest winners of $7.7 million with the Hoosier Lottery! The group of friends who are from Indianapolis, have decided to claim their prize under “2018 Global Partners LLC” to maintain anonymity and explained that they are all from blue collar backgrounds. This time around, ironically, they won their prize after receiving a free ticket which they were given due to a previous drawing – and ended up matching all 6 numbers. “It’s pretty amazing to get one free ticket and actually win this amount of money” one of the winners explained.

Jose Meza, from Brentwood in Contra Costa County has finally seen the pay-off from playing the lottery for a long time after finding out he has won $2,000,000 with The California Lottery! He bought this ticket from the Smoke Stop, which is located at 50 Sandcreak Road which at Suite #26 in Brentwood, and after revealing 10 words, he quickly went to the nearest Lottery retailer to use the Check-A-Ticket to check his win. Soon enough, he realized he’d won a 7-figure amount! 

Christopher Allen, 47 from Modesto always kept his expectation’s low when it came to playing the lottery, so when he won a $750,000 prize he was bewildered! Allen, was running a few errands and had just taken his wife to work when he intuitively made a quick decision to stop off at Dennis’ Sav-On-Liquor store which is located at 2409 on Moffett Road which is in Ceres, Stanislaus County – whilst there, he picked out a $10 Mystery Crossword Scratchers. Feeling keen, he instantly scratched off the ticket whilst he was still in the store and unexpectedly he watched as one, by one all of the numbers were matching up! “I was mesmerized, I almost fell over myself” he laughed. He asked the clerk to check the ticket straight-away and the $750,000 prize was confirmed. 

Bill Pendergast, from Fort McMurray in Alberta is probably feeling like one of the luckiest lottery winners, after being fortunate enough to land a $1,000,000 lottery prize with the Canada 649 Lottery which will enable him to fix his broken home which was torn apart by a fire. Pendergast, who is 50 years old purchased the $3 lottery ticket earlier on in the month after stopping off at a local store situated in Newfoundland and Labrador when he was travelling to see his father who wasn’t in good health. “Dad called and asked me to stop on my way back to the hospital and pick him up a cold 7-Up”, and sure enough this little trip to the store ended with him leaving with not just the drink, but also the winning lottery ticket..

Don DeSaer, from New Ulm has found that the Minnesota Millionaire Raffle ticket has stayed true to its name after winning the top prize in the game. DeSaer ended up with the winning ticket, after it just so happened that his daughter – Amber DeSaer decided to buy a lottery ticket for him (her Dad) as well as for herself from Casey’s General Store which is located at 314 20th St. S. in New Ulm. When scratching the tickets, Amber says that she realized that her Dad’s ticket was only 2 numbers away from hers so once she’d heard that there was a winning ticket sold at Casey’s – she knew it had to be his, “I knew he had it” she recalls. “I wasn’t going to keep it myself” Don explains, however his daughter refused to accept the ticket so the solution they finally came up with, was splitting the $1,000,000 prize amongst all 6 family members.

Charles Leath, from Roseville was only looking to pick up some gas when this short-trip lead to him picking up a $5,000,000 lottery ticket too! Leath, had an appointment that he had to attend, however on the way he thought it would be a good idea to fill the car up as he knew he would be working later for a ride-sharing service and wanted to be prepared. The gas station that he stopped at was the Arco am/pm which is located at 2998 Foothill Boulevard, going inside to pay for the gas he saw a new Scratchers game which was the “Hit it Big ticket” and decided it was worth a shot. As he now realizes, the rest really turned to history as now he has so many more opportunities available at his disposal such as travelling.
